In this project, you will examine data and predict trends on the growth of the Internet.
Gordon Moore, (cofounder of Intel) developed a remarkable theory back in 1965. He noticed that each newly developed memory chip had about double the capacity of the 'old-model' chip that it was developed to replace. He also saw that new chips were being developed in about 18-24 month's time. He reasoned from these observations that computing power would maintain an exponential growth rate. "Moore's Law", as it has come to be known, states that the number of components that can be packed on a computer chip doubles every 18 months while the price stays the same.
This study looks at the growth rate of the Internet itself.
