In this project, you will explore the data collected by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Analysts at the IPCC claim that the average temperature on Earth has already increased from approximately 0.5 to 1.1 degrees (Farenheit) since the late 1800's.

They further predict that the temperature may rise another 1.8 to 6.3 degrees by the year 2100. If the predictions are correct, the planet may be in trouble. In this project, you will explore the global warming data and calculate confidence intervals.

An article from CNN Interactive reports that

Without reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, scientists say that carbon dioxide in the atmosphere could double during the next century, warming the atmosphere and triggering an environmental chain reaction that could raise sea levels, change ocean currents and intensify damage from storms, droughts and the spread of tropical diseases.

Without doubt, global warming is a frightening topic. In this project, you will be able to explore the data yourself and come to your own conclusion.
