The Pearson Tutor Center Mission Statement
The mission of Pearson Tutor Center is to help US and Canadian college students of all abilities and backgrounds utilize textbooks published by the Addison-Wesley and Prentice Hall Higher Education Groups.
We are a group of scholars dedicated to the transfer of knowledge. Our approach with students is highly interactive, providing both knowledge of the academic discipline and methods for study of that discipline. We respect education as an avenue for individual growth and acknowledge that this process can be challenging for many reasons. We provide a human touch as we support the textbooks and various media products published by our group.
We are proud of the Pearson Education products we support and we are proud to share our mission to "help students acquire the knowledge they need to succeed in today's competitive, global economy."
The Pearson Tutor Center is a part of Pearson Tutor Services.
The Addison-Wesley and Prentice Hall Groups of Pearson Education, provides one-to-one tutoring in Mathematics and Statistics.
Qualified college tutors assist students who register with our service.
What services are provided by Pearson Tutor Center?
Using the textbook or MyMathLab for which they registered, students will receive explanations of concepts and illustrations. In the textbook, our instructors will assist with exercises that have answers in the back of the text (usually the odd-numbered problems). In MyMathLab, the same guidelines apply — tutors will assist with questions that have answers and with navigation of the resources within MML. Tutors also can assist with calculators or statistical software as utilized by these problems.
What do I need in order to register for tutoring in Math/Statistics?
Students need a Pearson Tutor Center registration card or a Pearson Tutor Center-supported MyLab access code. If you have either of these, click here to register. Your course instructor ordered these products to supplement your own learning experience.
After registering, how do I use Pearson Tutor Center?
All students who have successfully registered with the Pearson Tutor Center will receive confirmation of registration. If you have registered by phone or received an email confirming registration with Pearson Tutor Center for mathematics or statistics, use the contact information at the top of the page to reach the tutor service.
