  How to Apply

Step 1: Briefly (in 1-2 typed pages) answer one of the following three questions.

  1. Public health is an exciting and growing field which confronts complex health issues such as how to improve access to health care and control infectious diseases. Explain how your education has prepared you for this field and how you will make a difference.

  2. The focus of public health is on prevention over treatment. Select a field and suggest what you might do locally or nationally to better protect the health of your fellow students.

  3. How do you see the field of public health changing in the future, and which profession do you believe will expand fastest and provide the most challenges? If you were in this profession, how might you improve it?

Step 2: Attach your response to the application form.

Applications will be judged based on the creativity, enthusiasm, focus, overall thoughtfulness, and practical value of your response.
