-Aspartyl-Phosphate

-Aspartyl-phosphate is an intermediate in the conversion of aspartate to homoserine (see here) in the pathway leading to biosynthesis of threonine, isoleucine, and methionine.

1. Aspartate + ATP <=> -Aspartyl-Phosphate + ADP (catalyzed by Aspartokinase)

2. -Aspartyl Phosphate + NADPH + H+  <=> Aspartic Semialdehyde +  NADP+ + Pi (catalyzed by Aspartate Semialdehyde Dehydrogenase).
