Argininosuccinate

Argininosuccinate is an intermediate in the urea cycle. It participates in the reactions below.

1. Citrulline + ATP + Aspartate <=> Argininosuccinate + AMP + PPi (catalyzed by Argininosuccinate Synthetase)

2. Argininosuccinate <=> Arginine + Fumarate (catalyzed by Argninosuccinase).
