Phosphatidylglycerol is an intermediate in synthesis of cardiolipin. It
is made by hydrolysis of phosphatidylglycerol-3-phosphate (Figure 19.4). Subsequently, two phosphatidylglycerols
are joined together to make cardiolipin
(Figure 19.4).
