Glucocorticoid Hormones

Glucocorticoid hormones promote gluconeogenesis and, in pharmacological doses, suppresses inflammation reactions. -corticotropin is secreted from the anterior pituitary, and it stimulates the adrenal cortex to produce glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids, which in turn act on a number of tissues.
