-Ketoacyl-ACP Reductase

-Ketoacyl-ACP reductase catalyzes the reduction of -ketoacyl-ACP to D-3-hydroxylacyl-ACP in fatty acid biosynthesis (Figure 18.27). The reaction is as follows:

-Ketoacyl-ACP + NADPH + H+  <=> D-3-Hydroxyacyl-ACP +  NADP+
