Acetyl-ACP

Acetyl-ACP is a starting molecule for fatty acid biosynthesis and is produced in the reaction shown below.

Acetyl-CoA + ACP <=> Acetyl-ACP + CoASH (catalyzed by Acetyl-CoA-ACP Transacylase)
