Sedoheptulose-1,7-Bisphosphate is an intermediate in the Calvin cycle. It is produced in the reaction that follows:
Erythrose-4-phosphate + Dihydroxyacetone phosphate <=> Sedoheptulose-1,7-Bisphosphate (catalyzed by aldolase)
and is subsequently conveted to sedoheptulose-7-phosphate by the enzyme Phosphatase.
