Phosphatase (Sedoheptulose-1,7-Bisphosphatase)

Phosphatase is the common name given for the enyme that catalyzes the following reaction from the Calvin cycle:

Sedoheptulose-1,7-Bisphosphate + H2O <=> Sedoheptulose-7-Phosphate + Pi

Unlike most other Calvin cycle reactions, this one has no counterpart in the pentose phosphate pathway.
