D-Isocitrate

D-Isocitrate
is a citric acid cycle (and glyoxylate
cycle) intermediate produced as a result of action of the enzyme
aconitase on citrate. Isocitrate is converted to
-ketoglutarate by action of the enzyme isocitrate dehydrogenase
