Modified Amino Acids in Proteins

Some amino acids are chemically modified after they are incorporated into proteins. The results of these modifications produce the following residues found in proteins, O-Phosphoserine, 4-Hydroxyproline, -Hydroxylysine, thyroxine and -Carboxyglutamic acid.
