Woody Studenmund is the Richard W. Millar Professor of Economics and Finance and the Chair of the Department of Economics at Occidental College. He received his A.B. from Hamilton College in 1966 and his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1970. He joined the Occidental College faculty in 1970 and is currently the College's Director of Institutional Planning. Studenmund recently completed a three-year term as chair of the Board of Directors of the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium, a group of 130 of the nation's top liberal arts colleges. He also recently received the "Io Triumphe" award for his contributions to Occidental's spirit of community and the "Robert Janosik" award for his service to the College.
