John D. Carpinelli is an associate professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he holds appointments in both the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. He was recently awarded the "Excellence in Teaching Award for Undergraduate Instruction -- Upper Division" from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Professor Carpinelli is Member of the Governing Board of the Gateway Engineering Education Coalition, which is one of a few engineering education coalitions funded by the National Science Foundation to improve undergraduate engineering education.
