Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organization (AFL-CIO)
The voice of labor with more than a million members. AFL-CIO's mission is to
bring social and economic justice to our nation by enabling working people to
have a voice on the job, in government, in a changing global economy and in their
communities.
American
Federation of Teachers (ATF): Higher Education, Part-time Faculty
Section
Nationwide trade union representing workers in education, health care, and
public service. Includes a section devoted to part-time/adjunct faculty that
includes news articles, reports, and more.
CCCC
Committee on Contingent, Adjunct, and Part-Time Faculty (CAP)
The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) is a non-profit
organization that provides services for those who teach composition skills
at the college level. The CAP committee has compiled an electronic "organizing
kit" for part-time faculty, full-time faculty, and graduate students who wish
to improve the working conditions of part-time and non-tenure-track writing
faculty.
California Part-Time Faculty Association (CPFA)
The CPFA promotes professional equity for all faculty in the California
community college system.
Campus Equity Week (CEW)
Articles on events associated with CEW 2001 and plans for COCAL V in

Coalition of Contingent
Academic Labor (COCAL)
A network of activists, including adjunct, temporary, and nontenure
track faculty, as well as graduate student teaching assistants and
research assistants, involved in contingent faculty issues. COCAL's
primary functions are sharing information, educating colleagues and
the public about contingent faculty issues, and building solidarity
among faculty activists. COCAL also sponsors an important listserv
where contingent faculty issues are discussed. Formerly the National
Congress of Adjunct, Part-time, Graduate Teaching Assistants and Non-Tenure

Community College
Part-time Faculty Unemployment Compensation Handbook
Originally prepared for the Foothill-De Anza Faculty Association in
March 1992, this handbook provides information concerning unemployment
compensation benefits for part-time temporary faculty.
Concordia University Part Time
Faculty Association (CUPFA.org)
As a non-affiliated labor organization, CUPFA stands as one of the
largest independent unions in Quebec. Representing over 700 part-time
faculty, CUPFA responds to improving the needs and working conditions
of part-time faculty at Concordia University.
Council on Law and Higher Education
(CLHE)
CLHE is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association devoted to improving knowledge
in areas related to higher education law and policy.

OCC Adjunct Faculty
Association
Well-established local at Oakton Community College (IEA). Represents
all part-time faculty teaching six or more hours at Oakton Community
College. The A.F.A. is affiliated with the IEA/NEA (Illinois Education
Association/National Education Association).
Part-Time Faculty Association
at Columbia College
A pioneer in organizing adjuncts at private four-year colleges in the
Chicago area (IEA).
Roosevelt Adjunct Faculty Organization
(RAFO)
An affiliate of the Illinois Education Association-NEA, the RAFO represents
adjunct faculty at Roosevelt University in Illinois.
