The on-line site for the bi-monthly magazine Adjunct Advocate. Also offers a variety of resources from searchable job banks to event listing to message boards and more all for adjunct faculty. One-time, free registration required for access to job bank and full text archives of the magazine.

Adjunctopia
Matches an academic institution with qualified candidates for adjunct teaching positions, and provides a system for higher education institutions to find, communicate with, train, and evaluate their entire adjunct faculty. Provides career management resources such as job opportunities, e-learning tools, and industry-specific resources for adjuncts.

American Association for Higher Education (AAHE)
An organization made up of faculty, administrators, students, policymakers and leaders who are committed to the improvement of higher education in a changing world. They are involved with civic engagement, faculty development, assessment and quality. Publishes CHANGE magazine.

American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE)
AACTE is a national, voluntary association of colleges and universities with undergraduate or graduate programs that prepare professional educators.

American Association of Community Colleges
Serves two-year, technical and vocational institutions worldwide. Web site includes a job bank, a CC map and finder, information on trends and statistics in CCs, legislative resources (notices of relevant public laws, reports on testimony, legislative updates), workshop information, and more.

American Association of University Professors (AAUP)
The AAUP works towards advancing academic freedom and shared governance. Provides information on faculty organizing and lobbying, legal issues facing faculty, and issues of governance, collective bargaining, tenure, and others. American Council on Education
ACE is a national higher education association that provides a forum for the discussion of major issues related to higher education.

Higher Education Resource Hub
A comprehensive collection of information resources in the field of higher education. Primarily contains links to other resources, including listings of college/university Web sites, higher ed research centers, and job sites.

Invisible Adjunct
A continuing blog (i.e. an on-line serial journal) about adjuncts. Post your thoughts and read others’ commentary. National Education Association (NEA): Higher Education
This site provides a wealth of reports and resources on higher education, including articles on controversial "hot" issues, salary reports, briefs on current research and trends in higher education, PowerPoint presentations, and scholarship resources.

National Council for Higher Education (NCHE)
NCHE supports NEA efforts and serves as a voice for NEA issues an concerns related to academic justice and excellence in higher education arenas.

National Council For the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
NCATE is a national organization that provides a process of professional accreditation of schools, colleges and departments of education.

Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE)
Association of academics interested in the improvement of teaching and learning in higher education. Sponsors an annual conference, a series of workshops, an electronic bulletin board and the 3M Teaching Fellowships. The Society also publishes a bi-annual newsletter, Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

The Technology Source
A peer-reviewed bimonthly periodical published by the Michigan Virtual University that provides thoughtful, illuminating articles that will assist educators as they face the challenge of integrating information technology tools into teaching and into managing educational organizations. Sections includes Tools, Faculty and Staff Development, Assessment, Case Studies. Full text articles available.
